    OPS Group Description:

    The EMEA Investment Management Operations Team provides Middle and Back Office Operations functions for the EMEA region’s client-base. These functions are delivered by a mixture of internal AllianceBernstein Operations professionals and offshore partners.


    OPS Job Description:


    The EMEA Investment Management Operations Middle Office team perform varied key operational and regulatory functions, manage the daily oversight of their offshore operational service providers and act as facilitators between internal and external clients, and counterparties addressing a wide range of operational topics and issues.


    The role necessitates constant emphasis on good communication, attention to detail and adherence to deadlines. The role furthermore requires the ability to ensure prompt and appropriate response to a broad range of enquiries and issues to reduce risk and ensure the highest levels of client service are maintained.


    Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:


    The role uses the following key applications at AB:


    • CTR
    • LVTS
    • Minerva
    • RRS
    • Bloomberg 

    It supports the internal PMG and Trading groups. 


    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    Trade Support


    • Ensure fair and timely allocation of Equity, Fixed Income and Derivative transactions.
    • Work with back office and the Trading desks to resolve trade confirmation discrepancies on a timely basis to meet SLA’s.
    • Time sensitive security creation and validation for Fixed Income new issue trading.
    • Assist with the review of client documentation during account onboarding.
    • Work with internal departments for new market due diligence
    • Resolution of Portfolio Management and Trade related queries.
    • Undertake regular risk analysis of departmental processes and procedures.
    • Participation in global internal working groups and functional service level forums.
    • Attend relevant Industry Forums.
    • Undertake project work at the direction management.  


    • Daily Management of offshore Settlements and Claims team
    • Act as main escalation point for offshore Settlements and Claims teams
    • Compilation and review of Settlements and Claims metrics  


    • Manage the onshore confirmation team (Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives)
    • Compilation and review of confirmation metrics  

    Counterparty Performance management 

    • Analysis and Compilation of operational KPIs and Broker Performance statistics.
    • Analysis and Compilation of operational KPIs and Custodian Performance statistics.
    • Lead regular formal Broker Reviews
    • Lead formal Custodian Reviews. 

    Regulatory Reporting


    • Take Over Panel Reporting Oversight and regulatory submission
    • Substantial Holdings Reporting Oversight and regulatory submission

    Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):


    • Degree level education preferred
    • IAQ or IMC or professional qualification preferred
    • Five years proven experience gained in a Financial Operations environment with a good understanding of Front to Back operational processes.
    • Good product knowledge and sound understanding of Markets and Settlements
    • Experience with International Market practices, rules, and regulations.
    • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Organizational and planning skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
    • Ability to take direction as needed as well as being able to work independently and proactively.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities, think independently, evaluate potential risks, and escalate items appropriately.
    • Work within a pressured environment, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to build positive internal and external relationships.
