    Responsibilities

    The Fixed Income Strategy team is responsible for developing and implementing Fixed Income’s business strategy. The team is in search of an Associate Vice President who will work closely with Fixed Income leadership to plan and execute initiatives to drive revenue growth and profitability. The candidate will report to the Director of Strategy – Fixed Income. The role is an opportunity to contribute to Fixed Income’s business development and product strategy, learn about and leverage our advanced technology, and develop leadership and analytical skills.

     

    Key responsibilities:

    • Contribute to new product and business development.
      • Partner with product development on new product initiatives including talent acquisition, product formulation, portfolio construction, and product launch.
      • Create and present business plans including market analysis, competitive landscape, and financial modeling.
    • Partner with business development and marketing on Fixed Income marketing and branding initiatives.
    • Stay current on broader asset management industry trends and determine potential impact on the Fixed Income business.
    • Proactively analyze existing businesses and propose innovative ways to grow revenues and/or improve processes.
    • Help create and execute relevant talent development programming.
    • Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with partners across the firm to drive initiatives forward.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to create frameworks around abstract ideas or problems
    • Intellectual curiosity with the desire to continuously learn and ability to quickly get up to speed on a new topic
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and lead cross-functional teams to complete projects
    • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate analysis and views to stakeholders
    • Superior collaboration skills: proven ability to establish rapport, credibility and trust with key stakeholders
    • Knowledge of fixed income product landscape and institutional/retail distribution channels
    • Data analysis skills to drive decision-making; programming skills are a plus

    Experience, Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance. Finance, accounting, economics, computer science, engineering or similar degrees a positive.
    • 5+ years of experience in financial services, with asset management or management consulting experience preferred
