    Responsibilities

    The role of Marketing Communications Manager—Australia is to be the primary creator of campaign and thought-leadership content, as well as manage the PR effort for AB’s Australian business.

     

    Working with the Head of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for planning, writing, editing and managing content in a variety of formats including blogs, emails, marketing collateral, social media posts and press releases. You will also own the PR strategy for AB Australia, and be responsible for identifying PR opportunities, writing news releases and liaising with targeted press.

    The successful candidate will be experienced in working with, and creating content for, both the institutional and financial adviser segments.

     

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Working with the Head of Marketing, you will help develop effective client communications strategies designed to grow and retain AUM across both segments.
    • Creating and implementing thought leadership and fund-specific campaigns, new product launches, conferences & events and any other marketing projects & initiatives that drive sales and brand awareness.
    • Planning, writing, editing and managing, from conception to completion, content assets, including blogs, emails, marketing collateral, social media posts and press releases.
    • Working with key stakeholders and investment leadership (locally and globally) to turn ideas into compelling and high impact content in a variety of formats and across different audiences.
    • Driving AB’s news/ media relations activities in Australia, including identifying news opportunities, writing and disseminating press releases and maintaining AB’s media database.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, finance or a related area
    • Financial services’ marketing experience, particularly related to both financial adviser and institutional segments

     

    About you:

    • Experience in content creation and an ability to identify the “hook” to attract varying audiences.
    • Ability to distil complex investment concepts into consumable prose and adjust tone and message to suit audiences across the spectrum of financial sophistication.
    • Experience working with the Australian financial trade press and ability to liaise effectively with media.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communicator.
    • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve campaign and business goals.
