    Job Summary

    The Quality Control Lead will be responsible for supporting the assured quality of AB’s global web properties and client digital touch points. They will work in close coordination with the Project Management/Business Analysis Team, Line Marketing and the Digital Development Team. The primary responsibility will be to fully understand the requirements of what is being built, then define and execute a front-end and mobile test strategy ahead of its delivery.

    On a day to day basis you will:

    • Understand requirements for upcoming builds and create test cases
    • Test features & functionality; mobile; desktop
    • Manage and roll out new testing and QC processes (automated & manual)

    Job Description

    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Analyze the requirements and create test cases / test strategy (automated vs manual)
    • Create and execute functional, regression, integrated, positive and negative testing; develop test bed, test harness, test execution, and compile metrics on the defect rate / execution / pass fail ratio etc.
    • Review business requirements, test and certify changes for production readiness
    • Perform comprehensive review of test plan and test cases of custom components developed by vendor partners to ensure adherence to business, regulatory, and operations requirements and performance.
    • Review end-to-end functional and integration test results with stakeholders
    • Promptly escalate any issue which affects product delivery and quality of production release
    • Application support, enhancements, and troubleshooting of in-house systems and third-party applications
    • Work closely with the developers to test new features / enhancements collaborating with them to iron out finer business requirements
    • Evaluate, recommend and implement automated test tools and strategies.
    • Proactively identify requirement gaps, operational risks, and control defects during testing to safeguard such deficiencies from making it into our Production environment
    • Leverage Tools (SiteMorse, Adobe Digital Experience Manager) to help with automated testing and proactive quality control of the all-digital properties


    Required Skills

    • Be comfortable with Project management and defect logging tools (Jira) and understand projects through Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Information Systems or Computer Science a plus) or prior related on-the-job experience
    • 4 + total years’ experience with:
      • Financial Services a plus
      • Performing and Documenting Risk Analysis
      • Performing Manual and Automated Testing
      • Researching and Analyzing Product Features Being Tested
      • SQL, JIRA, Endeca a plus
      • Agile Development Process
      • Web Based Testing Applications 
    • Develop Standards and Procedures to Determine Product Quality and Release Readiness
    • Document Test Cases
    • Drive Innovation and Streamline Overall Testing Process
    • Record Test Progress and Results
