    Responsibilities

    OPS Job Description:
    We are seeking a Nashville-based for a Collateral Management Operations Manager to join our Derivative Operations.

     

    The Collateral Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the collateral needs resulting from OTC, Cleared OTC, Exchange Traded, TBA/Pool trading working closely with our middle office, valuation and portfolio reconciliation teams while liaising daily with our counterparties, in an evolving regulatory landscape. In their day to day responsibilities, the Collateral Manager will be responsible for assessing if margin calls need to be issued or accepted, determine eligible assets to deliver as collateral and enter into collateral transactions with counterparties while minimizing operational risk. The Collateral Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the securities lending program and maximizing the benefits of securities finance to our clients while minimizing risk. In addition to these daily support responsibilities, the manager will have oversight over a team of collateral analysts both onshore and offshore. The Collateral Operations Manager will collaborate with both the front office and legal in the escalation and resolution of security encumbrance restrictions, agreement negotiation as well as with the technology team to support enhancements across applications. This position will report to the manager of the Derivative Operations & Technology Department. In this role one should be familiar with various OTC derivative products, proficient with PC skills and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

     

    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Daily Margining of assigned Agreements/Relationships
    • Contact counterparts to agree on margin calls within the prescribed time frame
    • Settlement of margin in Support of Global clients
    • Maintain eligibility criteria and customer account master static data as per terms of CSAs, clearing agreements, repo agreements
    • Reconciliations of OTC MTM, Minimum Thresholds and resulting Collateral call
    • Reporting of collateral activity
    • Monthly cash interest agreement/settlement
    • Security coupon interest agreement/settlement
    • Ad-hoc projects as needed

    Qualifications

    Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):
    The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance, economics or another relevant discipline. 1-3 years experience supporting middle office or collateral operations related to OTC and/or Listed Derivatives on the sell-side or buy-side is required. Candidates should have a strong ability to work in a collaborative environment and to present results to both expert and non-expert audiences.
