    IT Job Description:

    We are seeking a San Antonio, Texas based Senior Systems Engineer/Team Lead to join the Messaging & Mobile Engineering team within the GETS department. 

     

    • Candidate will contribute in planning, engineering, implementing, and supporting a broad base of collaboration, messaging, and mobile solutions globally
    • Candidate will work on multiple concurrent projects that are time sensitive and dependent upon for other project completions
    • Candidate is expected to provide management with direction and recommendations based on established policy and business requirements as well as collaborate with peer groups to identify scope and implementation approach to a project
    • Candidate is expected to actively participate in the day-to-day technical tasks as well as participate in 3rd level and on-call support rotation
    • Candidate will communicate and promote departmental strategies

    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Creating and presenting project proposals to management for approvals
    • Providing solutions to technical challenges facing the firm presently and future
    • Timely delivery of projects
    • Providing 3rd tier and periodic on-call support for the global technologies we are responsible for

    Specific tasks include, but not limited to:

     

    1. Maintain and engineer solutions for mobile technologies utilized by AB. Specifically, MobileIron and Microsoft Intune
    2. Work towards being an escalation point for the San Antonio based messaging L1 operations team and provide guidance and leadership for this 24/7 support group
    3. Maintain and engineer solutions for AB's Active Directory infrastructure
    4. Maintain and further develop a library of PowerShell scripts that automate various AB workflow processes
    5. Contribute to and improve the process of migration from Exchange On-Prem to Exchange Online
    6. Contribute to various engineering efforts involving the messaging, directory, and cloud platforms utilized at the firm (Skype for Business, Symphony, Cisco IronPort, Exchange, Active Directory, 0365, Azure)
    7. Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Messaging team
    8. Continual development of the talents and skills on the team

    Qualifications

    Qualifications, Experience, Education:

     

    Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering / Computer Science

     

    Skills & Experience:

     

    Required Technical Experience and Skills:

    • >3 years Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience
    • >3 years Exchange on-prem/Online
    • Scripting experience PowerShell, VBscript

    Excellent US English communication skills including writing and technical documentation

    Highly Motivated team player and diligent worker with experience and flexibility to support our onsite and offshore team

     

    Desired Experience and Skills:

    • Active Directory
    • Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) technologies
    • Cisco/IronPort email gateway or similar product
    • Office 365
    • Microsoft Azure cloud services
    • Symphony Messaging System
    • Lync/Skype for Business
    • Micro Focus / Autonomy Digitalsafe E-Discovery

    Special Knowledge (if applicable):

    The candidate will need to possess strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented skilled professional who can support our diverse clients.
