    OPS Group Description:


    This role will require a hands-on commitment to excellence in dealing in conjunction with the customers’ account registration and regular KYC re-identification process, deemed a very critical phase of the customer account life cycle. It requires to assist in the quality construction of operational processes, directly or indirectly impacting the client service onboarding and lifecycle experience of mostly financial professional clients and financial intermediaries, in the EMEA region and beyond, but likewise including some long-established private individual customers.


    OPS Job Description:

    We are seeking a Luxembourg based Dealing/ or Registration Associate to join our Dealing/ or Registration Team


    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Review of incoming shareholder requests (e.g. Re-Identification forms, inheritance cases) paying particular attention to detail to determine if required legal documentation is valid and complete in relation to regulatory obligations, such as AML/KYC, FATCA, CRS and AB Lux internal control standards;
    • Contribute to the improvement of daily operational processes and the implementation of new projects and initiatives;
    • Participate in regular reviews and updates of relevant working procedures;
    • Providing Service Excellence to both professionals of the Financial Industry and private individual shareholders;
    • Answering phone calls and written inquiries from EMEA clients
    • Providing Client Reporting; 
    • In close partnership with the Transaction Processing Department, the International Financial Control Department and banks, inquiring about and initiating corrections of operational matters such as late or incorrect execution of trades and payments;
    • Being part of particular projects within the fast-developing fund industry;
    • Controlling certain risk measures and conducting the quality control steps within the team;
    • Analyzing incomplete items for exception processing by evaluating potential risks and customer service implications;
    • Preparing professional letters to any type of external parties;
    • Handling parts of ABIS` daily payment processes, including preparation of exceptional cash dividends and manual wire transfers, and resolving returned payments in daily interaction with banks;
    • Any other duties as assigned by AB management.



    Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):


    Relevant Work experience:      2 to 5 years

    Minimum Career level:             Experienced (non-Manager)

    Education Level:                      Bachelor’s Degree




    • The candidate should have strong relationship skills, organizational skills, and strong knowledge of mutual fund operations;
    • Is an excellent communicator in English, and ideally in German (B2 as minimum);
    • Knowledge of Transfer Agency regulatory, as well as general AML/KYC requirements;
    • Understanding of the concept and mechanisms of FATCA and CRS;
    • Experience in Transfer Agency operations, in a dealing and/or registration/account opening role;
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of complex situations where only limited standardization exists;
    • Ability to work independently yet always interact well with both team members and internal and/or external customers;
    • Keen eye for detail coupled with excellent analytical and research skills;
    • Ability to thrive under pressure;
    • Anticipates, creates and encourages change;
    • Good organizational skills in order to multi task whilst meeting deadlines.



    Special Knowledge (if applicable):


    • Knowledge of regulations applicable to the Transfer Agency business, as well as general AML/KYC requirements;
    • Understanding of FATCA and CRS concepts;
