    We are seeking a Nashville, TN based Fund Administration Expense Management Analyst to join our Accounting Team in Global Fund Administration. The Expense Management analyst plays a key role in the expense management of all pooled vehicles for the Global Fund Administration department. The candidate will be responsible for the review of Administrator-prepared expense forecasts and budgets, accrual calculations and periodic expense reporting. They will also be expected to manage our vendors as well as initiate and lead process improvement initiatives. The candidate should have sufficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting. The role requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills. The knowledge and skills required are acquired through the completion of a college educations as well as experience in the mutual funds industry. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc)

     

    OPS Group Description:

    The Global Fund Administration department is responsible for the oversight of approximately 600 pooled vehicles domiciled in the US, Luxembourg, Cayman Islands, as well as other global location across the world. We oversee day to day Net Asset Value calculation as well as the regulatory and client reporting requirements as required on a product by product basis. The candidate should have a proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting. The job requires knowledge of tax issues, SEC regulations, financial reporting and the use of spreadsheets. It also requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills. The knowledge and skills required are acquired through the completion of a college education as well as experience in the mutual fund industry. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc).

    Responsibilities

    The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Perform review of all quarterly expense reconciliation, validation and authorization activities
    • Develops reports and materials to escalate key data, impact analyses, and year end flux information to internal operating teams
    • Involved in the planning, preparation and review of all expense budgeting processes
    • Initiate and execute process improvement initiatives
    • Liaise with out vendors and various internal teams including fund accounting, corporate accounting and legal, as needed
    • Respond to client requests
    • Validate, approve and allocate invoices as necessary

    Qualifications

    Job Qualifications:

    • Qualifications, Experience, Education: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the mutual fund or finance industry as well as a 4 year degree in a business field (preferably accounting or finance related)
    • Skills: The candidate should have proficient knowledge of mutual fund accounting. The job requires knowledge of tax issues, SEC regulations, financial reporting and the use of spreadsheets. It also requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills. The knowledge and skills required are acquired through the completion of a college education as well as experience in the mutual fund industry.
    • Special Knowledge: The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc). Knowledge of RIC reporting requirements, financial reporting experiences and any alternative product knowledge is a plus. Candidates with process management/improvement experience is preferred.
