    Responsibilities

    In line with AB’s commitment to diversity and inclusion we are seeking talented, highly-motivated undergraduate students from underrepresented populations in finance who have demonstrated significant academic achievement, intellectual curiosity and an interest in financial services. Our 9-week Nashville-based internship program is designed to provide a select group of students with first-hand exposure to careers in sales, asset management, investment research and financial services.

     

    Our program includes:

    • Robust 4-day training program
    • Summer Lunch & Learn Series, Associate Coffee Chats, Social & Networking Events
    • Mentorship
    • End of rotation review process

    Available Opportunities: 

    • Technology and Operations: Work closely with the Technology and Operations teams and support them in various aspects of their work, including projects with the potential for significant business impact. Potential tracks include Business Analysis, Software Development, Infrastructure Engineering or Investment Management Operations
    • Client Group: Learn about specific strategies we offer to clients, business development, client service, marketing and the opportunity to develop strategic communication skills

    Qualifications

    Members of underrepresented groups within financial services (women, people of color, LBGT+) or active participants of diversity organizations that may include but are not limited to those listed below:

    Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:

    • May or June 2022 Bachelor’s degree candidates
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
    • Strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills
    • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
    • Some coursework in finance or economics is a plus
    • Candidates must be available to work full-time from June through July 2020
    • It is not permitted to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment
      that will conflict with the paid internship schedule
    • Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check
    • Students who have already accepted employment for summer of 2021 are not eligible to apply
