    IT Group Description

    The Fixed Income Investment Technology (FIIT) team provides decision support software for the fixed income investment (portfolio management, trading, and research) teams as well as operational support for operations, client services, legal, and third party users of our proprietary application. This includes developing software to:

    • Analyze securities using fundamental and quantitative analysis
    • Help portfolio managers monitor their portfolios by allowing them to slice and dice analytics and position data either at the security, sector, or portfolio level
    • Assist the APMs in creating orders, run compliance, and clear trades
    • Execute and book credit derivatives
    • Implement in-house Fixed Income quantitative research visions and models.

    IT Job Description:

    We are seeking a Nashville based Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Fixed Income Investment Technology team in Fixed Income,

     

    Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:

    The primary project that the candidate will contribute to will be the Taxable modules in RAP. RAP supports Senior Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Managers, Assistant Portfolio Managers, Fundamental and Quantitative research analysts, Traders, Middle office and Operations functions.

     

    The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Analyzes complex functional requirements, performs research on current processes, designs test strategy and documents, and interacts with the business analyst and developer to develop test plans and test scripts
    • Plans required test data fixtures and prioritizes test scripts to ensure the most critical components of the applications are being tested
    • Participates in the development of a comprehensive test strategy and works in partnership with a cross-functional team to define and complete testing deliverables
    • Reviews and validates system data and product quality to ensure system integrity and data fixtures
    • Assists in the creation and maintenance of the UI and API automated testing scripts and conducts automated testing on the most critical client-facing applications as needed
    • Develops, reviews, refines, uses and documents plans for both automated and manual functional, integration, and regression tests and assures that tests are successfully completed prior to production

    This is a unique opportunity to learn a major functional module which handles Portfolio Management, Order generation and Trade Execution for our Fixed Income business.

    Qualifications

    Job Qualifications (The ideal candidate should have the following):

    Qualifications, Experience, Education:

    • BS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Economics or related major.
    • 3+ years’ experience
    • Basic understanding of programming and scripting
    • Proficient in SQL and Excel

     

    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Detail oriented, self-starter and a team player
    • Able to follow a project schedule, juggling tasks and priorities to meet rapidly changing deadlines

     

    Special Knowledge (if applicable):

    • Knowledge of Fixed Income and Portfolio Management is an added plus
    • Experience using tools such as JIRA and ALM.
