    IT Group Description:
    The purpose of the Business Application Services Department is to provide support to Domestic and International operational departments within ABIS and across multiple product lines. The Application Support team provides a variety of services including Application Support & Administration, Software Configuration & Packaging, Distribution Coordination, and Change Management. Other teams within the group also provide SQL development & reporting, Business Analysis, and Business Continuity Coordination services.


    Describe the role:

    The Systems Analyst position will interact closely with End Users, Business Analysts, Project Managers and various technology professionals during the course of fulfilling their responsibilities. They will work with others to understand business needs, and formulate, test, and develop solutions to ensure positive operational outcomes for our internal clients.

    Application Administration

    •  Manage the granting and revoking of User Access Privileges based on requests by authorized managers, company policies, and regulatory rules.
    • Work with business and technical units to monitor and report on the adherence to security policies as it relates to the systems administered and participate as needed in audits and initiatives to improve administration processes and controls.
    • Monitor and report on usage of key software for the purpose of tracking license-related expenses and compliance.
    • Work with other technical teams and vendors to ensure monitoring of key systems adequately prevents or detects system issues to minimize disruption to the business.
      System Support
    • Record, troubleshoot, escalate, and monitor problems occurring on the aforementioned systems as they are encountered. Typically, this will be reported by the End User within the business units.
    • Act as liaison to technical groups in order to minimize the Business Unit’s diversion from its primary mission. Analysts will work with business units, IT, and vendor resources until an item is resolved.
    • Participate in regularly scheduled updates, ensuring all business needs related to the daily operation of supported systems are met consistently on a timely basis.
    • Maintain data within tracking tools which will be used to monitor support levels and the team’s ability to successfully meet the business units’ support requirements.
    • Conduct testing and participate in the configuration of application software which is delivered to the end-user computing environment during version upgrades or system rollouts.
    • Develop test schedules to coincide with project plans and coordinate end user testing, including documentation of results, reporting and resolving detected issues that are deemed critical prior to distribution.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing additional off hours support when needed, both independently and alongside other internal and external support teams.
    • Adhere to Change Management best practices by scheduling production changes in the expected manner.
    • Support existing Process Management software (AWD) by interpreting business process requirements, developing workflow diagrams, and configuring the system to automate workflows.

    • 4-year undergraduate degree in a technology related discipline, OR three+ years related experience
    • Previous work experience or internships in Financial Services, or Information Technology



    • Experience supporting desktop, web-based, and client/server applications, preferably in a highly virtualized environment. This individual should feel comfortable and thrive in a fluid environment where troubleshooting, researching, and collaboration are keys to successful delivery of support and solutions.
    • Experience installing and configuring desktop application software within a Windows environment.
    • Ability to work in a team environment with other internal and external solution providers
    • Comfortable working with technical and business personnel alike.
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, along with organizational skills that enable him/her to manage competing priorities.
    • Strong written communication skills, and an understanding of the need for documentation to ensure consistency and best practices over time.
    • Customer Focused with a Strong Service Ethic.
    • Ability to consult with business owners at all levels from different departments having vastly different needs; to determine requirements, identify opportunities, and clearly communicate potential solutions and benefits.


    • Experience packaging desktop application software for automated distribution within a Windows desktop and virtual desktop environment.
    • Experience with any of the previously listed vendor applications, or other imaging and business process management software.
    • Experience with Process Mapping, Workflow Diagrams, and/or Workflow Automation tools.
    • Experience with Windows Application server administration and networking concepts.
    • Experience with Job Management / Scheduling, especially exposure to Control-M and JCL.
    • Knowledge of Change Management and ID Administration best practices.
