The Alternatives Infrastructure & Operations team (“Alts Ops”) aligns with AB’s Alternatives Business Development unit and reports into Operations & IT. Alts Ops supports approximately $20 billion of alternative investment products and complex fund structures including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, fund of funds, co-invests, business trusts, business development corporations, and other commingled vehicles domiciled in Cayman, Delaware, Ireland, Luxembourg, and beyond. Investment strategies include Private Credit/Middle Market Loans, Real Estate, Emerging Equity, Energy, Multi-Manager, etc.
Alts Ops collaborates with product development, legal, fund accounting, sales, technology, and external service providers to onboard investment teams & strategies and to maintain their ongoing operations. We are seeking a Nashville based Operations Assistant Manager to join our Alternatives IT Infrastructure & Operations team in Global Technology & Operations.
Alts Ops is searching for an experienced individual, who is passionate about creating scalable processes and delivering consistent and highly intuitive service, digital experiences to our high net worth and institutional Alternatives clients. The Alts Ops Assistant Manager reports to the VP, Alternatives Infrastructure & Operations in New York and must be comfortable with remote management. They will work closely with the Head/SVP in NYC, the VP/Operations Manager in White Plains, Operations team members and IT Developers in Nashville to plan, prioritize, and maintain day to day operations for all client accounts.
The ideal candidate wields experience from a transfer agency, investor/shareholder services, or operational function at a hedge fund, private equity firm, fund-of-fund, and/or related service provider (administrator, auditor, fintech, etc.). The candidate must also be comfortable working in a high paced setting with key contacts around the global.
Describe the role:
The manager will conduct analysis and drive workflow to mitigate risk, decrease errors/exceptions, increase operational efficiency, and maintain and improve the daily client experience.
The Manager will engage a variety of business sponsors, stakeholders, and teams globally (e.g., Austin, Nashville, New York, Europe, Asia) across the firm, including portfolio management teams and leaders within the Alternatives business and the Private Wealth Management and Institutional sales channels, to ensure a consistent and accurate client experience. They will, lead a cross-functional team of analysts, and external vendors to deliver accurate and timely reporting, document processes, and implement efficient processes and tools. Through these collaborations, the manager should build a strong internal network with individuals from a variety of departments and management levels.
