    Responsibilities

    Job Summary


    The Business Transformation Team within Client Group is in search of a Vice President to leverage the firm’s resources in data-driven approaches to identify new opportunities and to support and measure various transformation initiatives. These efforts encompass business processes, technological innovation, new commercial and growth opportunities and change management efforts focused on customer need and opportunity. The Vice President will develop measurement plans to track and analyze results and impact of Business Transformation initiatives designed to improve profitability and support topline growth.

     

    The candidate will report to the SVP / Head of Business Transformation. The VP will work closely with internal partners to:

    • Analyze data to generate insights related to the design, tracking/measurement and impact of cross-functional Business Transformation efforts
    • Inform marketing and sales strategies and tactics, conduct impact measurement and establish predictive models to optimize efforts
    • Leverage digital and data to identify and prioritize new commercial opportunities
    • Reinforce a data-driven culture within the distribution organization

    Job Description


    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

     

    Strategy

    • Lead, scope and structure analyses to generate insights that support business decision-making
    • Create and own the long-term roadmap for data and analytics for Business Transformation
    • Aggregate, prepare and organize data from multiple disparate internal/external sources for key initiatives
    • Manage and synthesize large amounts of information effectively and creatively while having an in-depth understanding of the various sources and the relationships between the data sets
    • Collaborate with senior members of other functional areas to extrapolate insights from data


    Design and delivery

    • Design and implement Business Transformation market test measurement from end-to-end, developing baselines, defining measurement methodology and conducting impact measurement/analysis
    • Establish/test/refine proof of concepts, e.g., predictive models, to be tested and deployed to support transformation efforts
    • Support scaling of successful pilots into a full implementation
    • Generate and deliver strategic insights and recommendations to key stakeholders related to Business Transformation efforts (e.g. impact analysis), leveraging data visualization
    • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deploy advanced analytics and relevant technology against business

    Qualifications

    Job Qualifications & Key Attributes


    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree. Preference for Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field
    • 7-10 years of relevant experience (data analytics and/or business intelligence)
    • Advanced analytics and insights development experience – telling stories with data
    • Strong quantitative skills; knowledge of statistical programming and python preferred
    • SQL programming knowledge with demonstrated ability to derive insights through efficient SQL queries
    • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make recommendations and real-time decisions
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
    • Exceptional capacity in the process of data gathering and analysis (collating, cleaning, processing, exploring, modeling, and communicating)
    • Creative approach to interpreting information and solving problems
    • Self-directed and highly capable of working independently
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and forge strong relationships with vendors, business partners, and internal clients
    • Ability to navigate cross-functional teams in order to complete projects under time demands
    • Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft products

    Preferred

    • Strong working knowledge of the following is preferred, but not necessarily required:
      • CRM & Marketing automation systems (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, Exact Target, Eloqua, Marketo)
      • Data analysis tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Python, Tableau, R)
      • Web analytics (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
      • Professional Programming experience (e.g., Python, R)
