    Responsibilities

    The Financial Compensation team at AB is looking for a Compensation Administration Analyst to oversee the cyclical administration of the on-going and annual compensation activities of the global firm. With the Finance functions relocating to Nashville, TN, this exciting role is new to the firm and will have the opportunity to exert influence and change to current processes as well as bring innovation in process development. The position is part of the Corporate Planning and Analysis Department.

     

    Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Compensation, responsibilities for this position include the following on-going and annual activities:

    • Oversee the significant operational elements of a global compensation function, managing day to day activities as well as bringing innovation to current practices.
    • Serve as a liaison with the non-US Finance team on all compensation related reporting including guarantees, retention payments, and buy-outs.
    • Manage the administration and approvals on off-cycle compensation adjustments in partnership with Human Capital.
    • Proactively collect and forecast severance spend from Human Capital functions globally and prepare monthly severance file, including year-end testing and auditing.
    • Serve as the reporting function for voluntary resignations for deferred compensation awardees and corresponding deferred compensation forfeitures. Handle record-keeping and reporting.
    • Manage the firm’s RSU Plan including unit balance and requests, award creation and delivery, and tracking activities. Partner closely with key colleagues in Finance on plan administration.
    • Maintain complete oversight and management of the year-end compensation planning tool, CompXL, to ensure the system is fully enabled to support the annual planning process. Maintain all access rights for users.
    • Oversee CompXL production including creating compensation hierarchy, confirming “Comp Manager” list for annual launch, and adjusting data as needed throughout the year-end process.
    • Partner with HRIS and Analytics colleagues in Human Capital to ensure all required data is prepared and ready for loading into CompXL in advance of key annual deadlines.

     

    Qualifications

    • Possess a bachelor’s degree in related field.Proficiency in Excel. Technically strong.
    • At least 5 years of experience in Compensation Function in a corporate setting.
    • Experience with compensation planning technology utilized for annual planning activities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and interact through strong interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization, within Finance, Human Capital and more broadly.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and strong attention to detail.
    • Client service mindset.
